Who I Am Thankful For:
 (in no particular order)

Dad-Your acceptance of the way that I am; your listening ear; I look up to you and admire your resilience and positivity no matter the circumstance. You never complain and you always provide for the people you love. How you came to Atlanta at a very difficult time for me. How you hugged me when I needed it the most. That by telling me I deserve the best, I will not settle in a relationship.

Mom-Your consistency and reliance on God after everything you have been through. The ways that our relationship has grown and could not without your effort. You make great mexican food. The way that you help your friends and those in need. Your integrity and strength make me proud that you are my mother.

Calee-I look up to you. You radiate joy with your words and actions. I am grateful that you have encouraged me by sending Bible verses etc. You are very selfless and show it with your ability to give to others freely. You are a wonderful wife and teacher. You bless everyone you come in contact with. I'm thankful for my Kindle. ;)

Grandma-I just feel your love. I'm thankful that you are a wonderful cook. I'm thankful that you listen to my stories. I admire you and wish I could spend all my time with you. That mom tells me how often you ask about me.

Aunt Hope and Uncle Chip-I am thankful for your hospitality. That I got the opportunity to live with you and witness such genuine, whole hearted lives for Christ. That I got to hear you in the mornings having devotions with your children. That after all you have been through you continue to obey God in your decisions. That yall are fun and we play games when I come over.

Alexis-You are a beautiful soul. Your genuine enthusiasm to hang out with me. That you like my clothes. I am thankful that you appreciate the wonderful family you have. That you are much wiser than other girls your age when dealing with boys.

Aunt Denise-You reach out to me and are always willing to help. You (and Uncle Cleve) were willing to drive to meet me when you were outside of Atlanta. You make a point to show how important family is. I'm thankful for the lake memories with you.

Heather-You making the trip to Atlanta. That you cleaned my place just because. I am thankful that you love my dad and have stuck by his side after tragedy and many other stressful circumstances that have arisen. That you let Geo stay when I visit even though you probably dont want to.

Rodney-I appreciate your kindess. That you love my mother and have been a source of strength for her through incomprehensible circumstances. That you take pictures with your nice camera whenever I come in town.

I am going to add to this list. This is only my first post :) Thankful for these people in my life...May all of our focus be on what we are thankful for this week.

“3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. 4 Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. 6 He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. 7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices.” (Psalm 37:3-7)

Resting in His Arms.
It's been a hard year
But I'm climbing out of the rubble

These lessons are hard
Healing changes are subtle
But every day it's
Less like tearing, more like building
Less like captive, more like willing
Less like breakdown, more like surrender
Less like haunting, more like remember
Less like a prison, more like my room
It's less like a casket, more like a womb
Less like dying, more like transcending
Less like fear, less like an ending
And I feel you here
And you're picking up the pieces
Forever faithful
It seemed out of my hands, a bad situation
But you are able
And in your hands the pain and hurt
Look less like scars and more like

CHARACTER.

In the stillness...in the quiet...YOU are here.
I love the patches of red leaves
 found together.

My buddy.

Giovanni having the time of his life.

I am THANKFUL for days like these.

A couple videos to enjoy:

"I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see..."
